(Mis)Adventures in Printmaking, Pt. IV

Not everything goes according to plan in printmaking--this week the giant UV exposer that is integral to my photo intaglio projects is temporarily out of commission (hey, professors need projects too). Additionally, my traditional intaglio plate and resulting test prints are not to my standards, so this week I will be knee-deep in the creation of a brand new plate.

Facing failure is a common occurrence for art and design students. Failure is one of the hardest things to handle, but the sooner you jump back up and tackle the challenge, the more you grow as an artist or designer. And sometimes something interesting arises from mistakes, something that might be perfect for another project, so embrace mistakes and failures as much as success.
