This past Saturday I and a group of CSU-Pueblo Today magazine staff spent the day in Denver for the 2015 Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ) Region 9 conference on the lovely Auraria campus. The magazine I designed in fall 2014 just won best magazine in the region and is moving onto the SPJ national competitions! The judge's comments read, "Fun to read and fun to look at." This is the first time in CSU-Pueblo history that the CSU-Pueblo Today magazine won best magazine and the first time it qualified for nationals.
You can check out the article on the SPJ award on the online version of the CSU-Pueblo Today and check out their Facbook.
|Aside from the awards ceremony, we were also treated to intriguing panels, of which on of my colleagues was a panelist.|
